“Reharsal for a Sicilian tragedy” is a documentary interpreted and directed by John Turturro. The film is a praise to Sicily which is observed with the lucid and tender eyes of an Italo-American, that returns to his old land in order to find his own roots and discover its traditional and modern aspects. Sicily and America. The story of a living and hidden relationship. The  memory rediscovered through a journey in space and time. Turturro came here in order to look for the locations of a film he has had in mind for a long time, which he later decided to realize as the diary of his quest, also with the help of some personalities of new and old Sicily.
